Today I went to Madrid for some meetings and...I sinned again! I was in the airport...borred and I enter into a shop..... I start "hunting" and I bought an accessory...what did I bought? A blue accessory!!....not a tie...not a belt...not a glasses... I bought a bottle of D&G Light Blue.....The smell of the Mediterranean sea and the sensuality of Italy into a bottle!
We never think about perfumes such as accessories...but as Marilyn Monroe said..." is the best think to wear when we sleep"...so if she catalogued channel n5 as something to "wear" why not catalogue perfumes as an accessory? Obviously not for sleep ( if you want to can ), but something to wear all day long!
When we pass near somebody, the way he or she smells makes us think how can this person be.....without looking at him or her, we can imagine her/his look...that's why I think perfume is the best accessory to know how a person is....and is the first "view" and "idea" people can get from us....
About what I bought...I choose this eau de toilette because when you smell it, it reminds you la Dolce Vita..you can imagine yourself walking trough Capri or Sicily near the Mediterranean sea....you can smell the sensuality of Italy and the sea......
Also for women, D&G have some fabulous perfumes...one of this perfumes is D&G gold ...is the smell of the glamour of Hollywood into a bottle....funny, ironic, strong and passionate ....just perfect for a sophisticated and young women.....

Tokyo Neon Lights Party!!
I'm sure yesterday some of you where clubbing, and where dancing in a sea of neon lights...well, this is the same feeling you have when you are in some spring/summer 2008 catwalks, where you can see bright colours all over the place!
Some designers such as Diesel, Roberto Cavalli, Burberry Prorsum ( you can see some designs in the Hockney blue post ), Dries van Noten, DKNY, Bobbi Brown or Armand Basi....and of course, others....designed spring and summer clothes, both for men and women, plenty of colours that reminds us the Tokyo Neon Lights.
Obiously, there are some shops, such as Pull and Bear, that sells really nice Neon Lights coloured clothes... GOOD BLESS AMANCIO ORTEGA! and in that way, allows everybody to be fashionable and trendy without spending a big amount of money! If you have the chance, go to a Pull and Bear shop and I'm sure you will enjoy it!!! ....Yesterday I sinned and I bought some clothes and accessories!! :-P
As always...here I have some advices for the most conservatives ones....you can always wear your usual clothes but try to bring them a bit of the Neon Lights colours....they will make you feel as a Gus Van Sant Heroe or as a London Clubber....you can try some underwear ( it can be a good surprise for your partner ;-P ) , a pair of trainers ( converse have lots! ) or a T-shirt.....
On the other hand, if you are a fashion victim and less conservative you can try some yellow coats ( Women have nice clothes on Zara and Pull and Bear too!! ) , red suits ( Men, this is not only for woman....Roberto Cavalli designed a great red formal suit for men! ) or whatever plenty of color, bright and ENERGY!!

Time goes by?
As all of you know, today we have to change the hour in our watches....and because of this I decided to talk about watches.....
During some trips, walking in some of the most fashionable streets in the main cities in Spain I notices that some people is wearing again a Casio Watch. I still remember when I was a kid and my dad had one of this watches that he bought when he was a teenager...well....as all of you know retro accessories are totally present in our lives...and it seems that the Casio Watch is being used by some people....and to be sincere with you...if you are a lover of vinatge and retro...you must try to find your dads old watch and use it again!
For the ones that don't like old accessories and they prefer adaptations to our times....you can find a big variety of watches from all brands...from Zara to Diesel ( I really love Diesel watches desgins, this season you can find one with a wooden sphere with a very retro look....really really nice!!) and also you can find some rertro watches from Tag Heure, Rolex and other luxury branches.
About retro watches forget to use it only with casual clothes, it will fits perfectly with your formal clothes!!

Finally I have to say something.... I want to thank all our readers and also I have to say that today I bougth the magazine Men's health and I'm really happy because there's a article in the Fashion's section that talks about GOLD and also there are some pictures telling you how to be more fashionable and.....and in some of the pictures the model is wearing a white collar shirt.....maybe next month they will talk about other issues that we talk too....and they will agree with us again!

You will shine!
I know, I know....gold was one of the main colours last season...but trust me, is still present in all the fashion shows and designs for spring and summer 08......and for next year creations....
It is no surprise that gold symbolizes wealth used wisely, but it is also the symbol of good health. People who favor the color gold are optimistic.
The tibetan Buddhist believes in 5 sacred stones: the crystal for light, turquoise for infinity of sea and sky, coral for life and form, gold for the golden ray of the sun, silver for the light of the moon. Gold is intimately linked with Divinity and those gods associated with the Sun. It symbolizes wealth and success.
They put some gold in their life when they want to increased personal power, relaxation and enjoyment of life, good health, success
For them, wearing gold in everyday life increases personal power, and promotes courage, confidence and willpower.
Many people can think that gold is only a colour for women...you are one of those?? COME ON!! DON'T BE SILLY!!!...Open a men's fashion magazine and it will be plenty of gold bits! You can see gold coloured clothes and accessories such as coats ( D&G have some incredible!), trousers, etc. .....but if you are more conservative don't say no to gold...you can always wear some trainers with some shiny gold on it, or a gold stripped tie!
Come on, try it, it will suit you and you will love it!

Paul Smith + David Hockney = Hockney Smith
On the last post I did I talked about David Hockney and his colours and look...well, I recived some emails asking about the look because the last post was only based on the colours....
Because a picture is worth ten thoussand words, here you can see a picture of David Hockney and you will understand what I mean with the Hockney look.
Don't he look great? Trendy? Stylish? Fashionable? It seems that this man is wearing what designers created for the Spring and Summer 2008.....Nice colors, nices shapes and....nice vintage glasses!
If I want to talk about the Hockney look I have to talk about Paul Smith ( I love his designs, so... I'm sorry but I can't be 100% objective...but who can't say NO to Paul Smith stripes and colours? Not me! )
As you can see, this season Paul Smith Menswear and Womenswear makes the Bloomsbury sets (an English collective of loving friends and relatives who lived in or near London during the first half of the twentieth century. Their work deeply influenced literature, aesthetics, criticism, and economics as well as modern attitudes towards feminism, pacifism, and sexuality) meets David Hockney in a collection that encapsules the creative individualism of London bohemia. By uniting their shared channels of inspiration passion and bourgeois eccentricity, formal and casual elements are combined throughout, embodying the unique personal style and free-striped unruliness of these inspiring icons.......Just great! Hockney Blue...
What happens is you put designers inspiration and David Hockney's paint into a cocktail shaker? This is what Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Yamamoto, Burberry.... did for their spring/summer 2008 fashion shows....and now is one of the main colors we will see on the street during the next months!
David Hockney, was born the 9th July 1937, and is an English artist, based in Los Angeles. An important contributor to the British Pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. Because of this, and because of the colors and look that he paints on his paintings, some designers choose him for getting inspired in order to do their own creations....but don't think that the Hockney Blue is only for casual clothes.....we can also find it in formal suits.....
